Charity At St Anne’s
Charity is celebrated and exhibited in many different ways at St Anne’s. Not only does the school encourage everyday acts of kindness and the true embodiment of our ‘Sacred Values’ in everything we do. Our ‘Caritas Ambassadors’ are a group within the school who help raise valuable awareness and funds for several, local, national and international charities. During our Advent and Lenten Appeals we have raised over £5000 for Mary’s Meals and the Wellspring. This year we will be helping to support our diocesan Lenten charity St Joseph’s Penny.
Fundraising activities are central to the role of a Caritas Ambassador but it is a whole school effort where we encourage participation from pupils, staff and the local community. Our creative ways of fundraising have included cake and bake sales, Easter egg and advent calendar raffles, sponsorship activities, presenting in assemblies, Form Time competitions, sports tournaments, ‘guess the’ games and much more. St Anne’s prides itself on empowering students to use their time, efforts and energy to serve those around us.
